SalesGossip announced as Guardian Start Up of the Year

We are very pleased to report that Fig portfolio company, SalesGossip have received the Guardian Start Up of the Year!

SalesGossip uses its proprietary technology to scout all current fashion sales in London and online, enabling customer to become aware of sales as and when they happen.

Over the past 12 months they have achieved a great deal, growing their database from 250, 000 shoppers to 750, 000 shoppers, developing their highly scalable platform which allows them to understand consumer trends across different channels and retailers, doubling their team from 8 to 16; with more sales, marketing, editorial and technology staff to grow the business in all these areas and it is fantastic that all of their hard work has been recognised.

Fig first met SalesGossip when they entered EnterprisingU, Fig’s business plan competition in 2012, which they went on to win, walking away with the top prize of £25, 000!

SalesGossip founder, Zabetta said at the time “Of course, we would love to spend the money shopping for shoes in the summer sales but alas we’ve got bigger and better plans and will spend it on building more functionalities into the current online and mobile service so watch this space.”

They certainly achieved what they set out to do in 2012, and this award from the Guardian is wonderful recognition of this.
